Winning that event put Karl on the global map, then, getting onto K2 created the opportunity to film with MSP and in turn, win a Powder Award. Sammy Luebke was a derelict child prodigy from Alaska who took the snowboard world by storm at a young age. At 9, he was getting his first video clips, at 15, he was featured in Snowboarder Magazine, he learned from the best filming with Brain Farm, and then he got hurt. When that happened, Sammy’s world changed. He lost his first sponsor, had his first kid, and got married in his early 20’s. With an uncertain future, Sammy hit the Freeride World Tour and proved that the first part of his career was no fluke. This 3X FWT World Champion has gone through more than most snowboarders on his way to success.

So contest winnings went into backing drug deals, they went bad, and Ben found himself a heroin addict/criminal who was in and out of prison. He’s been out for a month, he’s clean, and this tale is a must listen.

You need a heavy dose of sky, BASE, and wingsuit experience combined with huge balls in order to live to tell these tales. With a background as a combat photographer and dude that jumps off of everything, Scotty Bob has both. He’s not a household name, but that doesn’t matter, he’s a badass who does crazy shit and is looked at as an innovator in his sport.
